Some of us are experts in various aspects of SAR, but all of us get better and learn new skills with training. Medical training, rappelling and rope systems work, and tracking skills are nurtured and developed.

One of the benefits of Search & Rescue is that we learn so much together. Much of the training is done in house, but we also undertake courses and trainings alongside other teams to expand our skillsets. Many of us go beyond basic first aid skills and become EMTs, a great asset for the team (and for the people we help).

Details on SAR training can be found on our Training page.
